The Screen Acting Process: From Audition to Shooting

Mon 26th June to Tues 27th June 2023 (13-18 years)

 

This 2-day Intensive Workshop has been created to prepare young actors for the numerous film and television productions scheduled for filming in Queensland in 2023 and 2024. It has been designed to be relevant to the needs and expectations of the industry, and to allow the young actor to experience the entire process, from receiving an audition request to shooting on set.

 

Under the tutelage of on-set acting coach, Teraze Burke, and actor/director/coach, Tim Ross, the workshop will cover:

• Explanation of the audition process

• How to prepare for an audition, whether it is a self tape or an 'in-the-room' audition

• Self tapes and chemistry tests

• The pre-production steps you as an actor needs to take to prepare for shooting once you get the role

• Rehearsal and blocking

• Shooting scenes on our sets, with raw footage available for collection

 

This program provides an intensive education platform for young actors who desire to strengthen their performance skills and develop professional industry-relevant knowledge in the craft of screen acting.
