Louise Brehmer

 

Louise Brehmer is a multi award winning actress, Voiceover artist, Clown, MC and teacher. She has been a professional improviser for more than twenty years and has twice represented Queensland in the National Theatresports Championships. She has used her improvisational skills to work for such companies as Theatresports QLD, Troupe Du Jour (Melbourne), Edge Improv, Sit Down Comedy Club, IZIT Entertainment and Interactive Theatre Australia.
 

Louise has worked extensively in Australian theatre and is a two time Matilda Award winning actress for her performances in Therese Raquin, and A Midsummer Night’s Dream, for which she has also won a Del Artè Award. She has received a further five Del Artè awards for her outstanding performances in The Bitterling, The Miracle Worker, Lovejunk, Lions in the Streets, and Boy’s Life.
 

She has appeared in Film and Television productions such as A Heartbeat Away, Hildegard, Slide and Mabo, among others and is an accomplished Voice Over Artist and Professional Clown. She has worked as a Clown Doctor at The Royal Children’s Hospital Brisbane since 2001, where the children, staff and families know her as Dr. Wobble.

Louise Brehmer is a graduate of the Acting Program at QUT and has trained with Shakespeare and Company (USA), Queensland Shakespeare Ensemble, Zen Zen Zo Physical Theatre, Society of Australian Fight Directors, DeBase, Angry Mime & NIDA Open Program.
