This course is a prerequisite to joining Tom McSweeney's Screen Audition course, however both can be completed concurrently.

Working closely with multi-award winning casting director, Tom McSweeney, this course is designed to provide you with a proven script analysis methodology, and to progress your development and understanding of that most critical of skills – scene breakdown and analysis. During the course you will engage in interactive in-depth group discussions on script and analysis. You will learn to identify the purpose of the scene, character motivations, obstacles, transitions, and subtext, as well as exploring performance options available to you as an actor within the given circumstances of the text.

The scenes utilised in this course will correspond to the sides being used in the Screen Audition course on the same day. Upon enrolment in this class, you will be sent the invitation to also join the corresponding Screen Audition course.
