An in-depth screen performance process with Tom McSweeney

Entrance to this course is either by the completion of previous advanced screen performance courses; or by the provision of an acting resume and acceptance.

Working closely with award-winning Casting Director Tom McSweeney, and with a small group of advanced actors, this deep-dive scene study program is designed to develop truthful characterisation, vulnerability, authenticity and emotional sincerity through advanced script analysis and the targeted study of challenging, extended scripts.

Combined with forensic scene analysis and through a process of on-your-feet comprehensive rehearsal-style performance you will investigate:

• Deeper authenticity

• Emotional clarity and vulnerability

• Character profiling, analysis and development

• Clarity of intention and drivers

• The mastery of stillness

• Deep and meaningful connection to the other character(s)

COURSE ELEMENTS:

• Challenging extended scenes

• Comprehensive, deep script analysis

• Comprehensive, in depth, stop-start rehearsals

• Small classes (max 10 only students)
