An on-set, in-depth Screen Acting Program with Phil Holder

This advanced on-set acting course is designed for career-oriented actors who have made a serious commitment to the development of their craft, and who wish to build a successful career as a working, professional actor in film and television. It is a thorough, deep-dive preparation process for advanced actors who aspire to play significant and/or leading roles in major film and television productions.

Using challenging and dramatic scripts, you will explore advanced, practical tools and methodologies that will allow you to advance your ability to repeatedly develop and create believable, engaging, and compelling on screen characters and relationships.

During the course of each term you will explore processes to:

• Identify and work within the genre

• Reliably create nuanced and complex characters

• Plot and track the character arc

• Explore and plot the primary relationship arc

• Track the narrative arc.

• Practice the art of sincere emotional engagement

• Make dynamic and compelling performance choices,

• Access emotional clarity and vulnerability

• World build

• Advance your understanding of holistic script and character analysis

Entrance to this course is either by audition, or by the provision of a comprehensive screen acting resume, or by the completion of the Foundation and Intermediate acting courses.
